Auto Painting & Refinishing in Nevada, TX Matched to Your Vehicle

Texas sun, road dust and years of washing change how paint looks. We match the color your truck or car shows now, not just the code on the door jamb sticker.

Why Paint Matching Takes More Than a Code

Every vehicle has a paint code, but two trucks with the same code can look a shade apart after a few summers on the road. Out in Nevada, Texas and over toward Josephine, sun, dust off County Road gravel and hard well water all play a part. That's why we match to your actual vehicle, test the mix on a card and compare it outside before anything gets sprayed. We refinish repaired panels after collision work, and we also redo sun-faded hoods, roofs and peeling clear coat. Prep is most of the job, and we don't skip it. When we're done, you shouldn't be able to point out the new paint from across the driveway.

Steps in a Proper Refinish

Here's what goes into paint that blends and lasts.

  • Color read off your vehicle

We read the paint on an undamaged panel next to the repair so the mix matches how your color looks now.

  • A sample card held up outdoors

A test card is sprayed and held against the vehicle in the sun, and we tweak the mix until it lines up.

  • Failing clear sanded back

Peeling or chalky clear coat gets sanded down to a solid layer so the new finish has something sound to grip.

  • Emblems and moldings removed

Handles, emblems and moldings come off when practical so the paint edges end where the factory put them.

  • Sealer for an even base

A sealer coat evens out what's underneath so the new color looks the same over bare spots and old paint.

  • Spraying in filtered air

Color and clear go on in a booth with filtered airflow, keeping dust and bugs out of the finish.

  • Faded into the next panel

Color is blended into the neighboring panels so the eye can't find where the repair starts.

  • Cut and polished to match

After curing, we polish the clear so its gloss and texture match the rest of the vehicle.

From Color Match to Final Shine

  1. 1

Match it and plan the job

We look at your vehicle outside, read the color and spray a test card. Once the match is right, we decide how far to blend so it disappears. You'll know which panels are getting paint and why. That keeps things clear from the start.

  2. 2

    Prep the surface and spray

The area gets sanded, cleaned and masked, and the trim comes off. Primer and sealer go down, then color and clear in the booth. Each coat is applied thin and even. Good prep now means paint that holds up to sun and gravel later.

  3. 3

    Cure, polish and compare outside

The paint cures, then gets polished to match the factory gloss. We put everything back together and pull the vehicle into daylight for a last look. If it doesn't blend, it goes back in.

Why Our Paint Blends In

  • Matched in the sun

Shop lights can fool anyone. We check the match outdoors, where you'll actually be looking at it.

  • No skipping the prep

Most paint problems start under the color. We spend the time there so the finish doesn't peel or fade early.

  • Straight talk on blending

Sometimes a single panel is enough and sometimes the color needs to carry into the next one. We'll explain the choice instead of just picking one.
